HEC 3 High Viscosity is a nonionic, water-soluble Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) that can thicken, suspend, bind, emulsify, form films, stabilize, disperse, retain water, and provide protective colloid action. It is a low-viscosity cellulose additive that can be used primarily in completion, and cementing. HEC 3 High Viscosity exhibits excellent fluid-loss control over a wide range of conditions in common completion fluids and causes little damage to permeability. At ambient temperatures, it hydrates rapidly and is highly dispersible in water and brines of many types and salinity. HEC 3 High Viscosity is also environmentally safe.
